SHOOTING THE VIDEO - 3.19.2004

As told before, for our "Duality" video being shot later this month, we need you. Here are the details (please do try and make it out):

Who: ALL SLIPKNOT fans (ages 16 and over only, sorry)

WHAT: Open auditions for maggots across the country to be a part of the filming of our new video, "Duality."

WHEN: Wednesday, March 24th, 12:00pm - 8:00pm CST (Maggots coming from out of state or those who are otherwise unable to attend casting call must call Kathy at 515-770-6539 on Tues March 23rd btw 9am-5pm)

WHERE: Fairfield Inn & Suites, 7225 Vista (I-80 & 74th St. in West Des Moines) - Jordan Creek Room

PLEASE NOTE: If chosen to appear in the video, you will be required to be on location all day on Saturday, March 27th. Any maggot who is 16 or 17 years of age must have parental or guardian signature on the day of the shoot. No payment for appearance in the video, however there will be food.



READY TO TOUR - 3.16.2004

What's up? Paul and I just got back from a 10 day promotional tour in Europe. We hit 6 countries all together. It was relentless press all day, every day. We had a lot of listening parties and made an appearance at the Rolling Stone rock club in Milan, Italy where fans got to hear 2 new songs. It was mayhem in there. Tons of maggots showed up and ruled the club. Afterwards, we signed autographs and took pictures with some contest winners.

By the looks of things, the maggots are in full force and awaiting the arrival of the new record and tour. As soon as we returned to the U.S. we started rehearsals for the upcoming tour. The band is tighter than ever and ready to tour the world. Be ready, were coming. Later.

MAGGOTS CASTING CALL - 3.12.2004

Mark the day. On Saturday, March 27th, we will be shooting a new Slipknot video, and you are needed. Basically, you are invited to come to our house for a show, to be in the video. No exact details on where just yet, but it will happen in Des Moines, or somewhere near. We'll post the address and time to arrive next week once known.



Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses) - 3.09.2004

It is official, Slipknot has dubbed their upcoming May 25th release Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses). And come the end of this month, starting at midnight Iowa-time on March 30th (i.e. late Monday night), you will be hearing the first sounds of music from this upcoming CD...for at that time, an MP3 download of a track called "Pulse Of The Maggots" will be made available at here.

Also happening later this month, Slipknot will be shooting a video for the track "Duality" from the upcoming release. The video will be shot in Des Moines, IA...keep reading back for updates, as YOU will be asked to show up and be in the video. Details to follow.

For this upcoming release, Slipknot recorded over 25 tracks in the Houdini mansion with producer Rick Rubin, 13 of which will make the final cut. Outside of "Pulse Of The Maggots" and "Duality," other tracks expected to be on the release include "Vermillion," "The Blister Exists" and "Circle."

Again, keep checking back...a lot is about to happen.



SLIPKNOT TO HEADLINE JAGER TOUR - 2.09.2004

Des Moines, IA - Heralded as "One of the best live bands, ever..." by REVOLVER Magazine, SLIPKNOT have nearly completed work on their third studio album and are preparing to hit the road - with devastating effect. The band will be showing off new music and a new stage show, as well as a whole new look - the band's trademark visage will be changing significantly for this new campaign.

Their much-anticipated, as-yet-untitled opus is due in stores on May 25, 2004. While top secret at this point, the lucky few that have heard the Rick Rubin-produced tracks report that it further pushes the boundaries of this enigmatic band, in all directions: heaviness, melody, and musicianship are all racheted up.

Joey (#1) offers, "We're back and it's been far too long. On the tour we are ready to get completely back to basics of delivering unbridled brutality your way. This is for the maggots that have stood by us...prepare!"

On this Jagermeister-sponsored trek, the band take with them label-mates CHIMAIRA and industrial-rock standards, FEAR FACTORY. Select Jagermeister Music bands to open shows. Tour is to start March 30th and run thru May 15th (36 shows in total).
